This recognition follows Forrester's independent, criteria-based evaluation process, which included comprehensive vendor profiles, verified capability demos, customer references, and rigorous fact-checking. It marks the second consecutive Leader designation for HTB, with the space to the top narrowing significantly: our overall offering score rose from 3.40 to 4.00, an 18% improvement.
AI agents are now part of the security team, and attackers are using them too. The skills required to defend an organization are changing fast. Forrester recognizes this, introducing Agentic AI Readiness as an evaluation criterion for the first time.
Hack The Box scored a 5: the highest possible rating. Forrester describes Hack The Box's vision as "compelling" for "hybrid human-AI readiness, aiming to redefine capability measurement across people and AI agents."
Last week, HTB released findings from its AI-Augmented vs Human-Only Cybersecurity Performance Benchmark Report, the largest side-by-side benchmark of agentic AI and human performance on cybersecurity tasks to date, showcasing: where to deploy AI first, how to structure oversight and governance, and how to invest in talent so that humans and agents become a force multiplier together.
Since the 2023 Wave, scores surged across six enterprise-critical criteria. Security framework mapping, talent ecosystem integration, accessibility, product security, and security & risk ecosystem all moved from 3 to 5. That's an aggregate gain of 14 points in the areas that matter most to large-scale deployments.
This reflects a deliberate investment in making Hack The Box enterprise-ready at every level. Forrester now rates Hack The Box superior in the enterprise capabilities that previously held us back. Customers see it too: Forrester notes they "laud Hack The Box's strong offensive security training, custom learning paths, and ability to foster collaboration through capture-the-flag tools."
Hack The Box scored 5 in Vision, Innovation, and Community, the criteria that reflect where a platform is going, not just where it is today. Forrester describes our innovation strategy as "future-focused with pillars around AI security, emerging threats, and operational readiness."
We made deliberate bets early: investing in enterprise maturity when the market still saw us as a community platform, and building for human-AI teaming before "agentic" entered the industry vocabulary. We launched the first AI Red Teamer learning pathway, built AI Range for benchmarking autonomous AI agents against real attack scenarios.
Forrester awarded Hack The Box a 5 in the brand-new Agentic AI Readiness criterion, validating that these bets are paying off.
Our community of over 4 million practitioners (doubled since 2023) is the engine behind everything we build. Our content is informed by how real attackers think and operate, not reverse-engineered from frameworks. That adversary-realistic approach prepares teams for real incidents, not compliance checkboxes.
It also creates a defensible moat in the agentic AI space. Training AI agents effectively requires massive, high-quality human performance data. We have it.
The Forrester Wave provides an independent, criteria-based framework to compare platforms. If you're evaluating your options, three things stand out:
Agentic AI readiness. Hack The Box scored 5 (Superior). If your organization is deploying AI agents into security operations, or you're concerned your teams lack the skills to work alongside these technologies, this is the conversation to have with us.
Enterprise-ready at scale. Superior ratings across security framework mapping, talent ecosystem integration, accessibility, product security, and platform governance. For security leaders running global teams across multiple maturity levels, the platform now matches the operational requirements.
Proven trajectory and vision for the future. Offering score up 18%, strategy score held at 4.00, and 62% of all criteria rated superior. This isn't a platform that peaked. It's one that's accelerating.
